Little House
Last weekend we took a cardboard box and made a miniture house. We used graph paper squares to measure how many "feet" each room was so that when we created furniture it would be proportional to the room dimensions.
We used contact paper to look like a wooden floor and real pieces of carpet for other rooms in the house. We designed our own wall paper and used temper paint for walls in some of the rooms. Miniature furniture was made from cardboard and fabric along with sewing tiny pillows from fabric and stuffing the pillows with cotton balls. Modeling clay was used to make a toilet, plates and burners on the stove. This was a really fun project especially when it is too cold to play outside. I have added some links that we used for ideas.
